Botox Lip Flip vs. Lip Filler
Mario Dedivanovic is a genius, but who doesn’t know that? His creation of the Mario Lip Lift technique is iconic, but only if that lift could be more long lasting than just a night out.
Well, what if we told you it is possible? Overlining your lips can be great, but sometimes it can be quite taxing when those lines just don’t look right. So, how do you get the perfect lip lift every time, without any effort? Botox lip flip and lip fillers are your friends.
I mean, who doesn’t want the perfect upturned, lifted lip every single day?
So, what’s the difference between the two, and which one is for you? This blog post talks about and compares Botox Lip Flip vs. Lip Filler.
Botox Lip Flip
A botox lip flip is a non-surgical procedure that provides the appearance of a fuller lip by injecting botox into the corners of your mouth, as well as the vermillion border. Now, this does not increase the size of your lips overall, however, it provides a “flip” to your lip, by directing the lip to look upwards. The great thing about the botox lip flip is that it provides a more natural appearance to your lips, without adding extra volume. You don’t need to worry about longevity, as it can last between two to five months, depending on your body’s metabolism.
So, what’s the process like?
Botox lip flip is a quick and effortless procedure. One of our licensed nurse injectors will numb your lips and the surrounding area for a pain free experience, and inject the Botox with a thin needle to the areas that will be injected. The process should not take longer than 10-20 minutes, with essentially zero downtime so you’re able to get back to your regular routine in no time. Although you may experience some swelling for 24-48 hours, you’ll be able to see results in less than a week.
Lip Filler
Lip filler is another great non-surgical procedure that can be done to plump and lift the lips.
Rather than just flipping the lip, lip fillers also allow a more plump and volumized lip. Apart from the upturned look, lip fillers are a great way of achieving the shape of your lips that you most desire, adding a plump look, and smoothing out any lines or wrinkles. So, what’s the process like?
Lips fillers have a very similar process as a Botox lip flip. The lips will be numbed prior to the injections, and our licensed nurse injector will start injecting in the areas that will provide you the desired shape and plump that you want. The process is just as quick, taking about 15-30 minutes, with virtually zero downtime. You may experience some swelling and bruising, although again, it will go down within 24-48, although in some cases, one week. The only additional upside with lip fillers is that it can last up to 12-18 months, although it will depend on your body’s metabolism rate.
With either of the procedures, you want to ensure you follow the care instructions provided to you at the end of your appointment to ensure your lips remain the way you desire. Give us a call and one of our nurse injectors will be happy to discuss which option may be best for you depending on your needs!
